Start with the board and connector layout

Identify board mounting points, connector positions, cable clearances and service access. Provide the released board envelope and panel drawings so openings can be reviewed against the actual assembly.

Specify rack, wall or desktop mounting

List rack ears, mounting brackets, covers and module trays separately. Specify the mechanical interface rather than relying on a product photograph to define fit.

Define shielding and markings

Mark contact surfaces and printed port labels. EMC performance depends on the complete system design and validation; a metal cover alone does not establish compliance. Electronic boards and firmware are outside enclosure supply.

Start a drawing-based review

Share the application, quantity and known requirements. An unfinished drawing can start a discussion. Materials, process, inspection and delivery require project-specific agreement.
