Instrument Enclosure Finish & Screen Printing Inspection
Define appearance in terms both the buyer and fabricator can inspect. A color name or a screenshot is not a complete acceptance standard.
Define visible faces and finish reference
Mark visible faces on the drawing and agree a color and texture reference. Establish viewing conditions and acceptable appearance limits with the supplier. Include edges, openings and contact areas in the review.
Release printable artwork
Provide vector artwork, the exact wording, print color, orientation and position relative to drawing datums. Convert fonts to outlines in the approved production artwork where appropriate, while retaining an editable master. Check labels against the equipment designer's requirements.
Agree inspection before batch production
Approve a sample for legibility, alignment and appearance. Where durability matters, agree the test method and acceptance criteria for the actual ink, coating and use environment. Do not claim chemical resistance or print life without relevant validation.
Start a drawing-based review
Share the application, quantity and known requirements. An unfinished drawing can start a discussion. Materials, process, inspection and delivery require project-specific agreement.
